Where did this spark begin?
It all started with my very first design assignment, a challenge set by my older sister: “Design a dress I can wear to prom.” (We don't even have proms in India)
Let’s be honest, no younger sibling in history has ever nailed an elder sibling’s expectations on the first go. And obviously, I didn’t get that dress right. But in that moment, between the fabric scraps and scribbled sketches I boldly called a “portfolio”, I found something else: my heart.
That little spark led to a string of accidental discoveries, mostly thanks to my sister, who handed me more creative tasks just to keep me from dancing on her head while she tried solving trigonometry. (Younger siblings, am I right?)
And so began my rollercoaster journey through the many paths of design. I’m still on that ride, sometimes plummeting, sometimes soaring, but always learning. I’ve come to realise that I’m a digger. I dig into stories, ideas, and experiences. Right now, my design style leans toward storytelling, the kind that doesn’t just solve problems but speaks to people, like a painting that whispers back.
A little about me…
I come from the vibrant chaos of Mumbai, India, a city that’s known worldwide (right? I think it is!). And now, I’m based in Indianapolis (yes, the one that got some fame thanks to the Zack & Cody twins and our queen Tay-Tay). I’m pursuing a Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction at Indiana University Indianapolis (IUPUI or IUI or just IU, it has many names).
I’m here to connect because I value your time as much as I value design and the stories it tells. To me, design is about observing curiously, experimenting boldly, and performing authentically.
Like if the Mona Lisa could speak, that’s what I want my work to feel like.
Outside of design, I love painting, sketching, illustrating, and writing. (I try, okay?) You can find glimpses of that on my Instagram page.
Thanks for stopping by, it means a lot :)
